Congratulations!

My friends, Ellen and Ryan Burke, finally completed the adoption process and have brought their baby boy, Korbin, home from Russia!! Their journey is documented on Ellen's blog! I am very excited for them and can't wait to hear more about Korbin and his new family! Congrats Ellen & Ryan!

The Replacement

We replaced the old truck on Thursday. We ended up getting a great deal on a 2005 F150 with, get this, only 9k miles on it! Suhweet! The truck is almost the same as Jeff's last one, except that it is an extended cab instead of a crew and it's black. But my favorite part is that it is much cheaper!!! Next week, we pay off my car! Two years before the note is up! I can't recall ever paying off a car early! I'm so excited!!!

What a week

This past week has been insane. As most of you know, Jeff was in a bad car accident on Tuesday, but thankfully, he walked away with only minor scratches and bruises. The truck, however, is another story.




We are in the process of finishing with insurance and finding a replacement. We both loved the previous truck, so the whole experience is kind of draining for the both of us. I hate car shopping - I'm on the constant defense because I think that everytime we walk onto the lot, someone is trying to screw us. Needless to say, car shopping with me is not a fun experience. Poor Jeff. Hopefully, he'll have a new set of wheels by mid-week, that's IF insurance does what they should do. Of course, we've all heard the nightmare stories. Let's hope it doesn't go that way.
