If They Mated

So, one of my favorite Conan O'Brien segments is "IF THEY MATED", which never fails to crack me up. Basically, for those non-Conan-watchers, he takes two celebrities and altars their features with photoshop and the result is always disturbing and scarey. So, of course, I had to try it with Jeff and I. The results came out pretty much the same, but you can be the judge. I've given you two different versions. Beware, these images are not for the faint at heart.

So for you friends and family out there who are always asking us, "When are ya'll planning on having kids?"...the answer is "NEVER!"...if they end up looking anything like this! hahah!

Name that Quote

Just a little weekday fun. Can you name this movie quote? (Disclaimer: Names used within the quotes have been removed....for obvious reasons. Oh, and guessing this should not be difficult)

"....he can fuss."
"fuss...fuss...I think he likes to scream at us."
"Probably he means no harm."
"He's really very short on charm."

"...are there rocks ahead?"
"If there are, we'll all be dead."

"No more rhymes now, I mean it."
"Anybody got a peanut?"

Discovery: A Sentimental Posting

College football season always makes me sentimental. I think that's because the college spirit is on overdrive, which makes me start missing my Ramen-noodle-eating, Scraping-together-rent, Tailgating-Football-loving days as a college student. *sigh* Can't you say the same?

This inevitably leads to the pondering of graduate school. Although my finances right now say otherwise, I know eventually I will go back. The question of course is, go back for what? All I can say right now, is that the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter. Trust me on this.

While the unemployment that has been my life for the past four months hasn't exactly been the high point of my twenty-six years, it has definitely allowed me to learn more about myself. I have answered some of my 'what-if' questions that have been circulating around in my head and I have started putting things in perspective. For me, this is definitely a great begining.

In other news, go Irish! They beat the 'ever-livin' out of Penn State today. Jeff's turning me in to a Notre Dame fan, which isn't so bad to tell you the truth! aTm's fixin' to whoop up on LA Lafayette, TxState is suffering an embarassing loss to the University of Kentucky, and Texas is behind by 7 with 2 minutes left till the half. Man, I love college football. :)

A Trip Down Memory Lane

I was cleaning out my car this weekend and I came across some pictures I have been toting around for 2.5 years! The infamous Montecito fire of 2003 (3 days prior to Christmas). Kelli and I were called home in the middle of the day to deal with this mess! While the flames never made it into our apartment, the smoke and water did enough damage. Sorry about the quality of the pics, it was a quick scan. I'll adjust later.
